I have never seen a Bensen Days like this one. There was NOT one gyro sold. None. People don't have money I guess. Stan from Georgia was seriously looking and wanting mine. But he just bought a Corvette and had no desire to tell Fran his wife that he wants a gyro too... LOL

I am seriously thinking of selling the blades, prop, head engine and stick a 912 on it and keep her. I will need to go to 26 footer and my all up will be over 750 so I need a head with two bearings.

Why not just buy a couple more prop blades or another prop and enjoy it as it is? Are you not keen on 2 strokes? Even with a 912, you don't need huge rotors? All our old school 2 seaters only had single bearing heads.... unless you were going to crank and bank it seriously hard, single would be fine I reckon.... What rpm are your rotors running at now with full fuel and you in the chair ?

The straight and level is in the 380s I do not trust the 582 for the kind of flying we are doing here. Well I have a 2 bladed hub. So I will need a new hub and such. Might as well get a new set that is "far superior" to the rest I have 25 footers on and my All Weight Up is 720 right now. The 912 will put me into the 760-770 lbs range. I will feel better if I have a double row bearing above me. It's not always about the need it's about the want!

10 grand is a bit deep. I have seen them running for about 5-6 and lockwood rebuilds them for around 1800 bux. You never know what you get when it is without logbook and such. I also have to sell my shit first. :( Not that wealthy.... but I am working hard!!!

The problem was Tommy May said he was going to buy the behemoth and backed out, then he said He was going to buy dave Hopkins Dominator, and backed out, then he said he was going to buy Davey Seace's 2 place dominator and backed out......That guy is a real piece of work let me tell you...He wanted me to do an annual on his machine 2 years ago and backed out.....If Tommy may says he is going to do something it is BS.....
But i am surprised that no one bought anything...I was trying to get Phil to buy the aircommand all it needed was an engine, rotorhead and blades... but no luck.

LOL One of those props wont work on the tractor if it is counter rotating, so there you will have a spare for the behemoth,

But i am surprised that no one bought anything...I was trying to get Phil to buy the aircommand all it needed was an engine, rotorhead and blades... but no luck. The real shitty thing is that he wrote me that he was committing to buy the machine and I pulled the ad. I have sent a guy to the aircommand ad for 18.5 and he bought it. There went my sure buyer. He apparently also fucked over the guy who bought his RAF (I talked to him) and the guy who bought his Aircommand (I have heard how fucked up that machine was). Nice guy huh? People are people I guess. Next time 5 grand deposit non refundable. Live and learn

Gabor- When I sold my Helicycle....the first time...I insisted on a non refundable deposit. He agreed to my price...and kept saying his word was his bond. Right then and there was a red flag. I have learned from dealing with people all my life that when they emphasize "my word is my bond".....watch out! ..I took my ad down . He calls a few days later and said his wife stopped the sale....so no deposit was sent. So I readvertised it...and the guy calls again a few days later wanting it again... I told him I must have a substantial deposit now. He sent it....then another week he calls again with another excuse for backing out of the sale again. Now if his excuse was a sudden health issue...death in the family...or such...I would have sent the non refundable deposit back to him....but he is a grown man giving childish excuses and committing to sending a non- refundable deposit to me.
I kept the deposit and sold my Helicycle to another person.
I just don't understand how people undermine a very precious thing they could have.....their integrity.

Gab, keeping the Behemoth with a 912 is a great idea. It looks like such a great flying gyro, and with a 912 you'll trust it a lot more. But should it be UL or ULS? I'm looking for a 912 UL myself, but every ad I've seen in UK or Germany with an affordable 912 is a scam! (or even a 582) So far I'm stuck with my 503. And I'm beginning to think of losing weight, so I can use it. (not that I weigh that much, but less is better. As long as I don't go below 550 lbs AUW for my 23' Skywheels) Cheers Erik

Erik to me 80 hp is plenty. I just want the 4 stroke behind me. Th e 582 is plenty power. But l want to have a 912. Simply wanting it

Simply wanting it Gabor my brother, why don’t you just put a Yamaha 120 in it for about 1/10 the cost of a 912, and be done with it. Reliability of a good four stroke goes way beyond any of the two strokes. Great picture and video from you all, Thanks for all the great posts.

I guess I could do that. I just need to figure out the complete setup. Clutch and c box and having the connecting plate and such. I am not even sure if Racer is still making them or not??? The 912 is just a swap and that's why I was leaning in that direction.

I had talked to him a month or so before that happened and he wanted me to machine him some more clutches for him. Since that happened I haven’t talked to him, I guess in a way that’s kind of shame on me for not reaching out for him. I know Glen K bought the last kit from him and he’s very close to having it flying now. Hopefully Todd’s doing good and maybe we will all here from him soon.
