Pilot lands with a bit of sideslip using left rudder .... instead of using right rudder on touchdown he turned his yolk right ... which of course didn't work.

Ontario Canada student pilot practicing touch and go landings , things went squirrely so he applied full power , yolk full back and to the right .... which didn't work.
Pilot OK afterward , not even a scratch. Cessna and hangar lots of scratches.

I wonder why the guy that drove the plane into the hangar didn't A/ pull the throttle? B/ pull the mixture? C/ switch off the fuel? D/ turn off the ignition? E /use the rudder? F/ use the brakes? G/ try not steering the plane like a car? H/ blink? ???
If I ever found myself in that predicament, I would have tried all of the above (all at once)

People are funny creatures, under pressure some freeze up. Scary thing here is, now that this guy has proven to fold under pressure, did he give up trying to be a pilot? Or push on through only to freeze again somewhere down the road?
