Author Message
It was pd last year and was assured it will run this sat and sun in the sports section
bottom of page to the ST. PETE Firestone Grand Prix ads.

The tampabaytimes is having serious financial problems so they better not fuck this up!!

Like they did last yr.

I will follow up don't worry.

Trying to get the clubs new logo sign done too!

Chapter 62 has one on their hanger so i thought we should too!!! My treat to the club!

Rick is going to help me install it.

Urahhhhhhhhh!!

Thank you again Stan for the bases. I have just finished gluing the plaques to the bases. You did a helluva job as usual and the awards look fantastic. Thank you do much. :)

Dude...just kidding about the dude part LOL

Desmon...I am really going to miss ya....Really wanted to finish up some time with you.

I will when u get back around. Just need a heads up so I can be ready!

Really wanted your guidance on the Arrowcopters when I get Chris to let me have a go in one.

It will be my focus while there this year.

I'm in LOVE with a machine again and it's all I think about. Gotta have one.

Good luck with your pursuits though...a man has to have priorities.

Thankx for all you have helped me with either way. :)

Well... I hate this... but:

I (John) will not make it down this year.
There is a family issue, I need to stay here in Atlanta and spend some time with my brother.

I wish I could come... but there is Carolina Barnstormers, Mentone, and others.

You all have a GREAT time, and raise a cold one for me!

John/GA

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very much looking forward for your visiting...... I am sure there is a reason that is serious enough to cancel. I hope things get better and we will see you here next year or even before.

Very nice looking awards Gabi (and bases).
It appears to me that this years Bensen Days will be one of the finest yet!

Gabor has been giving a lot of time and effort to this sport and so has Ron in past years. I may be wrong, but I think it was Ron that gave Gabi his first gyro ride. At any rate Gabi's first ride sure helped to lite a fire in him and he has been contributing to this sport ever since. Although I have not personally met either one of these guys, I can't help but like them both and it is hard for me to understand how a few heated words from each could ruin several friendships. I can only hope that some day soon, each can gather the courage to forgive the other and move on.....it would be nice to see to the clouds part. Life is too short.....something I know all to well ;-).

I dont think Ron likes helicopters or helicopter pilots .... he subconsciously feels threatened by them or something .... he feels his gyro kingdom and top poster status and popularity is being threatened ....... a few years ago he even said on RWF that he wished they would go somewhere else to post and wouldn't mind if they were all booted out of his kingdom .... until it was pointed out to him it was a rotary wing forum .... not just a gyro forum.

We all know that true royalty and kingship can only be found among people who eat Hungarian stew and squirrels :)

Sounds like a great Bensen Days this year !!!!!!

Kudos to everybody !!!!

Ed, God is my witness I have tried to find the way to forgive but I just can't. I can take a lot of abuse but there is no excuse to mess with one's family. Especially not with one's child. I can't forgive for that! Sorry.

I didn't know anything about ill comments toward your daughter.....don't understand why, when she is such a neat person.
If a post starts getting nasty, I move on to another one or to another thread, so I guess I missed that stuff.

I have never before ran into heated arguments to the tune of what can be found on these two forums, either in my personal or business life.....guess I've led a sheltered one ;-). Sorry now that I even brought this topic up Gabi.

Yes, missing Benson Days this year was not something I wanted to do... however family is family. My parents have both gone through the pearly gates, there are few of the previous generation left... and I have only one sibling. My brother has a waist over 50", and tips the scales 100# beyond the legal limit to receive instruction in a gyro. He is type 2 diabetic... his digestion is acting up (again). For the first time, he is willing to listen to me about healthy eating and lifestyle... I figured I had better take advantage of this before he gets to feeling better and gets stubborn again. He will be 65 this year... I would prefer he has many more B-days... :)

As I understand it... the Morons have Benson Days every weekend down there... I may take off a 4-5 day weekend in Sept and come down.

And yes Mr carpenter... I hope to make Mentone this year... and see your shop... and watch you pick off a squirrel or two... :)
I will even help you prep it for stew... :)

You guys and ladies have a WONDERFUL time, My prayer is for a best ever BD's and nobody gets hurt.
God Bless you all!

John/GA

And since this is not RWF... I think the event probably will be better with a few arrogant folks not there... :)

Gabbs: When are you gonna start the new Gyro forum... so we all can leave RWF???
