I'd jump too with 2 feet of blade missing from each blade,

(Was it run up at night? Where's the 'cart?')

bet it was a truck below the rotor disk and suffered a blade strike on a start.

I’m not all that helicopter savvy but I would have thought that if you were jumpstarting it that the blades wouldn’t have been turning?

Rolls Royce 250 c 30/ Pratt & Whitney PT 6 a rotor brake could be used... but not here.

Most 'jump' starts we let the blades will turn anyways


Ever see two idiots jump start two helicopters with short jumper cables ??? It's no Chinook! :laughing

The only helicopter that we always had to jump was that freaking Enstrom F 28.
For some reason, that bastard never wanted to hold charge..... :noidea
