39 is hot, but 80, must be hottest place on earth. remember that water boils at 100.

Ross, I'll drive on the wrong side, eat fish and chips and call all the dead critters "possums", but no way are you gonna get me to use the metric system at this point!

These are the Gondolas in Queenstown for anyone wondering what I am on about.... :ugeek:

They are a small cable car that runs up and down the mountain at Queenstown.... A bit of fun.... and they hardly ever fall off... :eek :laughing :wol2 :Wolvie

I like old school bikes.... less likely to kill one's self on one.... :laughing

The modern hyperbikes are way too wicked for the road.... I would last 5 minutes I reckon.... besides... too many texting drivers not looking where they are going... :realcrazy

Tonight I did the tappets on my DR.... then tried to start it and it wouldn't run???

Then I realised the butt plug was still in the exhaust!! DoH!!

Lucky it didn't blast a hole in something if it had popped...

Elwood, the new R.E. Does look rather nice, I just dont think I am a good enough mechanic to own one.
Everyone ive ever spoken to about them says the make AMF Harleys look like volkswagons in the reliability dept.

I have nearly done all I want to to fix up the ol' bush pig (DR)...

So far I have....

removed the swing arm and greased the bearings and link bearings
disassembled the rear shock, clean and lube
replaced front and rearwheel bearings and cush bearing
new brake pads both ends, bled brakes
changed ratio from 13/41 to 15/44 with new chain and sprockets
new tires
LED indicators and headlight
Switch for headlight (cant turn the headlight off in Oz??)
removed old speedo and fitted trailtech vapor speedo/tach
fitted relays and a couple of USB ports up front so I can use the gps and charge phone
shortened levers (I like 2 fingers around bars and 2 fingers on brake and clutch)
Safety wired the neutral switch in engine (DR issue)
New countershaft seal and a retainer to stop seal backing out (DR issue)

Yet to do...

Waiting for fork sox (instead of the crinkly rubber fork gaiters) once they arrive I will fit new fork bushes and seals and drill the caps for air (schroder valves)
While forks out will grease steering head bearing (DR issue)
lower and move foot pegs back and down)
Fit a LED auxiliary light
Desperately need a better exhaust... the stock one is so choked up you can hear it wheezing like a half dead dog even at idle... have a stainless front pipe coming.

That is pretty much all so far....Once all that is done, I am going to fit my Hyosung 250GT wheels to make it look like this (Supermoto) :koolaid :lick :pop

The video is not my bike, but same color and what mine should look like with the Hyosung wheels on it (and road tires) :laughing :Flipper :bigballs :wol2 :Wolvie
