I flew the Flightstar for the first time last evening, It was only about 15 minutes because I was running out of light,
(time change) But everything went just great, except the Chinese go-pro did not turn on like it was supposed to....
I was hoping to record it, I'll get it next time.
Anyhow it went great, it was nice having some wind protection, it was 56* out and at 70 mph that would be a little chilly in a gyro.
Performance was good, climb out was 55mph @ 800fpm, I was off the ground in about 300 ft, This should be a fun little airplane, and I can fly it year round!

I'd love to see some footage if you manage to crank the Chi-pro on.
Woohooooo. I am truly happy you got a nice ride!

Yes I am disappointed I did not get any footage, The camera turned on with the remote on the workbench....but not so much on the airplane, I'll get it worked out, may even put one on the wing.

It does fly very nicely, not a gyro, but very nice.

Yes Stan I am looking forward to it very much, and with the cabin it will greatly extend my flying season.

Is it just me, or are you listing to starboard a little? I mean..there isn't even a passenger in the right seat.

That'd never happen in a gyroplane, you know. Them fixed-wing things is dangersome!

Because you left the "&feature" behind the code!

Nice vid! I didn't realize you had those ponds behind you! You could practice water landings and take off if you had floats. :laughing
Nice time of the year. Air is cool and dense!
Bunch of trees are already bold.
Thanks for sharing the vid!

Thanks Man! I had to come into work early today, I guess I wasn't paying attention..
Yeah lots of ponds, most too small to land on (If you have floats) Glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah the multiple landing thing.....I put a little extra throttle in right before touchdown since it was windy, but they were all nice and smooth!!!

Hopefully I can get some more good video when I get my next Chi-com go pro, then I can at least get a few different angles from the camera, the cool thing about the airplane is you have lots of places to mount a camera, not so much on the gyro.. :laughing

Scott....Yes, you can mount your camera on the tip of your wing,, can't do that on a rotor tip! At least not easily.

You and Mama gyro...or is she Mama wing now...have a fantastic platform to enjoy escaping the surface. Probably just a fraction of a percent can ever say that. Best we have this side of heaven!
