Glad to hear that you folks are OK :yoda2 I think that most

Of the folks on this forum from Florida on this forum have
checked in and are also ok. You were about the last one and
had us a bit worried.

Did you have any property damage?

I was away from most of the media sources for the last couple
of days and for some reason thought that this one was turning
into a non event. WOW was I wrong!

With a little bit of luck you wont have much clean up.

You will probably have a much better handle on that by the end of the day.

Marc

Sorry about the destruction and I hope everyone is alright. Now the silver lining (for me and general contractors at least) is I'll be making some $$ close to home. Yeehaw! :Flag

Thanks guys. Most of my damage is Botanical and 4x4......nio not mudding!!! 4x4s snapped and the fence panels just layed down flat. I had no service until 3 in the morning so I couldnt answer. Sorry. Well lets start the clean up! :chainsaw

Thank God for good friends!!! My neighbor still has power so he brought me his generator. My fridge was starting to get warm! Everything else good, lots of cleanup to do around the yard.

Sorry to hear about so much mess Gabor but glad everyone is safe. It definitely could have been much worse if it had not veered a little West last minute.
Amazingly our place on the island on the canal, had zero damage by report of someone who checked it for us. Fortunately not nearly as many trees as around your house Gabor. Even the boat tied up on our boat lift, stayed on the lift, though barely. And believe it or fucking not the power is already back on there.

Made a small dent in the cleanup. I went to Lowes earlier, still a lot of signal lights in DeLand without power. Most of the roads have been cleared of the downed trees (most, not all). Big lines at gas stations.

Just stopped working since 8 am.... I am freaking old for this shit.
I had a hard time to take the big trunk of the tree out....
Tomorrow I am going to try to haul the fence out too.
I am feeling my age.... :badluck

Ok ladies and gents. I am here. No internet and phone service, power went out .... well you know the drill.
We are OK. The neighbors not so much. Lot of destruction.
This fucker was hammering us for 7 straight hours. Relentlessly just hammering.
The hurricane force wind kicked in around 9 am and the tail end was tearing down the remaining standing trees at 4 pm. Long freaking day.
Here is a video of my property.
Now comes the cleanup and repair....
