I had to use an acronym, but acronym finder didn't have it listed....so I submitted it to change the dictionary.....OOOOO will I be remembered like Webster?
A.P.F.S.D.S.T.
you should be able to look it up by now....
Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot Tracer
I wonder if Taylor Swift is going to invite me to be one of her posse now that I am famous and all... Heck, I don't even know if I should be chatting with you plebes...

Only thing I am missing are some of the previously aforementioned goodies like what you mentioned. Think this qualifies....match grade barrel and a few other mods for accurate groups. Custom Stock (have the original). I think a few are always needed.

Gee, that was a nice try Wolvie... Not my fault everything in the Army is either an M1 or an M60....they have always been an unimaginative sort.. You will be needing a 120mm M1...ABRAMS Main Battle Tank
if you want to fire some sabots out of your 308 pea shooter you will need either S.L.A.P. rounds or as I recall, Remington markets them to civies as Accelerators. Minus the fins and tracers.
And Muz, you can't bullshit bullshitter...I know you have a Tay Tay poster on the back of your bedroom door!

We have only about 125 pages of acronyms here at work, I can't even keep up with them,

I had to give a presentation yesterday to a group of Chair Force people. We have so manh dammned acronyms thet within our own job field we had to use letters that dont make sense so as not confuse people when using the stupid acronym!
Contracting Officer is ......wait for it......KO!!! Because CO was taken.....by Commanding Officer! If an acronym is MORE confusing then the words it represents..isnt tbat a step backwards as far as language is concerned?

Acronyms are mostly used to make boring stuff sound more technical and important, at least most of the time.
I even made up an acronym for my armadillo rifle Laser Acquisition Rapid Deployment Armadillo Suppression System (L.A.R.D. A.S.S.) Sounds better than "30 year old .22lr with stuff on it".
