I almost was killed by a tornado in 2004 that destroyed my stair shop. I will never egg on such a calamity! Thousands of people could have their lives ruined.

Yeah tornadoes are bad. Hurricanes are different! I rode through all of them.
They claim it will be the closest right here at Daytona Beach.
I am glad I fixed my roof!!!! :wol2

I don't know what they are looking at but what I am seeing the golf pressure is working it toward the open ocean. 1020 millibar high pressure keeping the damn thing in check.
This is Florida damn it. A little wind and rain is all we are gonna get.
Watch the loop and you will see that the high pressure is building from the Golf and will keep the damn thing off shore.

I would say you are as accurate as any of those other weather people...the bottom line is that they have no idea just wait and watch, sometime those hurricanes change direction, but they cannot predict it.

I was on a cruise ship in the Gulf of Mexico that tailed hurricane Floyd by a day. I've never gotten seasick or motion sick til that trip. Waves were so high that they were coming on to the top deck after hitting the front/side of the ship. Really didn't understand why they didn't change course or sit idle in calmer waters until the threat was fully gone. We were restricted to our quarters the last day of the cruise... Terrible...

Well it looks as if we are in the cross hair. Damn.... I just hope the kid doesn't go into labor because of the pressure. Hurricanes have this side effect on pregnant women. She only has 3 weeks to go .... oh man ..... and her husband is a first responder so he won't be home! Great!

Daytona will experience 145 mph wind once going west then east. From 7 am tomorrow til 5 pm .... that's 10 freaking hours of destructive force. I don't know what to expect.
I do hope my house is sturdy enough. I have cut all the trees down around my house sooooo....
Flooding will be an issue. Port Orange and Ponce Inlet will experience 7-9 surge!
Lofty your house is in the surge zone. :badluck
We are a bit better off because we have about a mile off the Halifax.
But if it crests that amount then we are fucked too.
If you want me to I can look at your house after this shit passes.
Just let me know I will try to drive there if A1A still exists.
:cry
