Some of you that have attended the Wrens fly-in may have seen him buzz the airport.

A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.

Condolences to the family. Greg was a regular at the Wrens event, a talented pilot and genuine nice guy.

The safety officer for the PDK event should have called it in the afternoon. It was blowing 25K ang gusting to 37K here, and we aren't far away from the event site at all. From what I heard and saw from a friend's phone video, he seemed to have been slammed onto the runway during a stunt by a strong roller gust.

The video I saw aired by an Atlanta TV station looked like he lost control at the top of a loop. Whether by design or loss of control at the top he entered a downward spiral that appeared to me to be way too fast of a rate.
I wondered did he black out?

I thought the same thing Ray.... there didn't appear to be any change of attitude or nothing after the top of the loop... I am thinking that was a medical event? :noidea

Lets hope he knew nothing about it :badluck

Was a bad weekend with 3 crashes at airshows?

So many airshow crashes these days? I wonder how long it will be before big brother cans them?

The wing walker who fell off the plane was just silly.... :badluck :yoda2 :Wolvie

Edit: It would be just as 'dare devilish' to me if they wear a small parachute... just in case?

:Confederate
