Gabor ... the junk yard guys like cars damaged like yours , taillights are good , hatch back looks good , glass not broken , a little heat and massage would bring the back bumper back to shape , a day on the frame puller and all the frame and sheet metal will pull back into shape , door gaps will have clearance again , another day doing finish metal work , a bit of filler and sanding , a day or so for painting , send it out for a safety check and it is done. The car will look OK , few imperfections here and there like a typical used car should have . The insurance company will get top dollar for it at at salvage auction
So make sure they pay you a decent settlement , and when you go hunting for another car , make sure it was not a salvage wreck fixed in a junk yard shop HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I would say also, make them pay as much as you can get, and tell them you want to buy the wreck (as cheap as you can get it) then find 2 big trees with a cap in between, park it lengthways in between and get some chain and endless chain engine lifter.... then slowly pull the damage out.... slowly, while someone works the chain, you tap at the crinkles in things like chassis rails.... you might have to unchain and move the beast and re-attach the chain to get different angles.... and also, the chain from the front to the front tree, doesn't go from the front bumper.... it goes under the truck and to just before the damage.... I have done exactly the same thing with a car that was rear ended.... actually a few cars.... one, a Mazda RX3 had the trunk floor pushed in, but not the trunk lid.... It was hit pretty hard in the center and the spare tire was stuck in the hole.... but 90 psi moved the damage to get the 13" wheel out, then a 4x4 wheel and tire, flat, went in With a friend standing on it.... then pumped it up and up and tapped at the damage.... was a nice car again after that. Another car got pushed in on the back corner.... up the end of my street was a hill with a tree at the top.... I backed up to the tree.... connected the chain around the tree and to the section of the car that was a couple of inches low and in a bit.... put about 6 people in the car, then slowly took up the slack of the chain.... then backed up 6" then let it roll until the chain stopped it.... got out, checked the 'improvement' backed up again, again and again and when it was right.... went home and tidied it up. It is amazing how little tugging at it can fix stuff like that. I don't know if you remember my green imp that I am putting the Subaru in.... it had been run up the back and pushed in the tail lights both sides.... well, the other day it was raining and I was bored, so I got a mechanical bottle jack and some off cuts of 4x2 and pushed out the damage I have only put the panels back in the right place.... I haven't got the hammers and dollies at it yet, so there is a little damage still.... but while being pushed out, I tapped the rail on the right straight so it no longer had the kink.... so it wouldn't spring back out of shape I find pulling panels very therapeutic some people like soduku or cross word puzzles... pulling dents is like a puzzle to me... only more fun Without actually being able to look at yours.... it looks like it would pull out really easily.... so, I reckon, whinge and whine and get as much cash as you can... buy back the wreck.... pull it out, a junk yard bumper and away you go

I'll bet the 'roos play with Muz's cars and pretend they are driving....after Muz goes to bed...
Sure is easier to work on em when you are not flat on your back.

My dad lived with whiplash when he was rear ended back in the mid 1950s. He would get blinding headaches and have to go to the Chiropractor to get his neck cracked back in place periodically.

Gabor wrote: Haven't heard from the Insurance company yet..... Queen is one tuff chick That is the way to do it !!!! Up here we have socialist government run insurance . Bastards. I had a claim for a car I lost in a flood. A hard-to-find 1980 VW diesel pickup (1/4 ton 60 mpg) Had a custom fiberglass cap (hard to find) Fair market value for a mint condition VW was $8,500 to $10,000 ... that is what people were actuality getting for them at auction even though they are 31 years old. I am reasonable , mine was not in mint condition , told them I wanted $4,000 .... they offered $900 . Bastards. Knowing how our system works I walked away ... I knew the friggin arshoe adjuster was supposed to clear all her files every week , and certainly at the end of every month. Sure enough she started taking heat from her supervisors for my open file . He looked at all my verified fair market research and told her ... PAY THE GUY.!!!! After my deductible was taken off I got my $3,750 . I still think they are a bunch of bastards. Her salary for those 2 months she screwed with me was $6,000 Bastards. . .

Well I am waiting on the damn insurance company to call me back with their adjusted totaled settlement. Meanwhile I won't wait til the last minute to get me a car. I bought a Murano. I don't care much for nice cars. They are only a tool. Here it is.

The Manure-O had some issues with the CVT transmission, so take it easy on that one. My Brother has one just like that.

Don't care for looks it has a great ratings though. 3.7L V6 and timing chain no belt. People are just happy with it. I hope I got a good one and this whole bad luck streak ends with this. I have had it with all this shit.
