I am so stoked. Airport is fully up and running. My little Challenger 1 is fully up and running. My Quicky 2 is apart and we are restoring her. My Aircommand is up and running. I just picked up a 1990 Raf2000 with zero hours on it for a butterbread and she is in the shop to get serviced and checked over. And this weekend I am picking up a Lazair just for the heck of it

Sven- I just now read this thread. I am not retarded....just s-l-o-w ....ha.
Love to see your enthusiasm....it is contagious. I flew a RAF2000 with a 2.2 Sub on it for 235 hours.
You mentioned a Challenger . I almost bought a Challenger kit back in 2002....but found a place on the planet called Mentone...and 3 weeks later I owned an Air Command low rider with a 532 on it.
Speaking of "blessing" aircraft. My dad said a prayer for his safety in each aircraft he flew and he did the same for my safety in my Quicksilver MX, , Bensen , Air Command, RAF2000, SparrowHawk, and my Helicycle. It must have worked as I had 18 forced landings in my gyros and 2 flameouts in my Helicycle, and I never got a scratch. Dad really had his work cut out for him when I started manipulating aircraft controls!
Dad passed away last October, and his prayers stopped, and so did my flying. If he were alive now he would be praying that I don't hurt anyone else with my getting back into gun shooting!
Anyway, prayers to your new flying group and may God keep blessing you.

Fantastic! Nice RAF too. You are going to have a great time. Way to go!

thanks for the replys and best wishes.
I ABSOLUTELY will put an HS on it. Already sent the email to Larry Ellerman to get one. Also Jon Pridie's is instructing me on Chris's C-FIZZ another Raf2000. I am trying to stay alive and even with all the prayers helping me, why take a chance eh? (Help yourself and God will help you)
This Raf2000 has 0 hours on it. IT IS A BRANDNEW 1990 Raf2000 that was never flown. I had to peel off the protective cover on the lexan to be able to see out.
At present I am flipping through all the Service Bulletins on the older Raf2000 that I can find and trying to make sure that the bird is updated on everything I can find.
So far everything I found this Baby already had done to it. (Like coil on frame and Oil Pressure sensor relocated and so on)
The builder and previous Owner, really knew what he was doing, but passed away on Cancer, before he could fly her.
So far I can see that the RotorBrake is missing there is no HS yet and I am thinking I really like the Stabilator or whatever that thing is called to trim the Aircraft.
Since I was able to pick her up for such little money, I have enough in the Kitty to put all the goodies on I can think of.
Can you tell I am stoked?
And the Airpark is coming along just fine. We will turn that place in to the next Gyro and UL Mekka in Canada and will have a lot of fun flying our Birds here.

The Machine I am training in has both. Stab and HS. I am thinking I will do the same. It feels very stable and is beautiful and easy to trim for handsoff flying. Takes the stress out of going longer distances. Pictures is my training Bird

That is a very nice early model, Be careful flying fast, I heard the windshields would try to turn inside out at 100mph without a brace, Just what I heard, I looked at one around here that had 60 hours on the clock, but sat in a pole barn for 600,000 hours, the guy wouldn't budge, wanted $7000, for it, Estate sale...somebody looked up RAF2000 and got the price for a new one...Needless to say I did NOT buy it... Great for 2 small people, I like the clear top on the doors, I'll bet one of those would be great with a little CLT mod and my Cam100, or Yamaha better yet..

My Instructor Jon already warned me about the Windshield and Yes you are correct it needs a stabilizer bar across the windshield which I will be installing before flying. It does require a few little upgrades and I am working over all service bulletins to address them, before attempting flight.

Thank god that is not really my Reg number. That was the original number on the Bird and it has expired. I get a new one that is a bit "cleaner" hahaha
