Awesome meeting today with city officials.
We have a great future there.
They want us to be there.
And we said yes to them :)
Life is grand!!!!
It was nice to have a civilized professional conversation for a change.
WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Details about what?
What does Rick's thread have to do with this?
He is NOT a member of the club nor member of the board.
He never spoke in the name of the club.
He acted on his own and has no impact on the club nor the future of the event.
The only thing I know is that Mr. Atchley is a very good intentioned person who wants us to grow and bring more and more people into Wauchula so his city can benefit from it.
I know he will NEVER try to shut us down as it is their interest to keep us there and keep us happy.
He had assured us of the city's support and asked us if we can think of better ways the city can serve us!
That thread you are mentioning is garbage!
Bullfuckingshit! Drama on the square.
We don't do drama.
Apparently people start to realize that Jimmy biy was playing them all.
Congratulations.
I am glad they didn't do irreversible damage to the club.
Fortunately it had become very obvious from the beginning that this was nothing but a fucked up stunt.
That is all the details.
I hope this is what you were looking for cause I don't got nuttin' else to share.
:fuckum

Well that was interesting....

I would consider those bits new to me...Rick is no longer even a member of the club?

I knew he resigned as a board member but not bowed out of the club. Too bad that had to happen.

What is the scam by Jim Hay? PPl got fooled by supporting him? Misplaced loyalties?

Wouldn't be the first time but nevertheless a shame.

Glad things have SMOOTHED OVER and the DRAMA is about gyro's and not Polecats sniffing asses!!!

I will try not to push that button again...I am satisfied with at least having understanding the outcome.

Yeah the big picture is: we are cool, the city wants us, the city is not evil nor is the city manager.
We have finally people with class running the airport and not a fucking redneck who makes up his own rules as he pleases.
This is aviation and needs to be handled professionally.
When you hear the city management say they they were told to stay away from Bensen Days....that makes you go HUMMMMMMM????
All that is changing for the better.
They were all invited to come an join us during the event.
Yes there won't be illegal shootings and blowing things up while smuggling moonshine but there will be a respectful event we call Bensen Days that will commemorate Dr. Igor Bensen they way he deserves it.
The city manager also said if we can fit 50 gyros into a hangar more power to us!
All the bullshit Jimmy was feeding to these guys is turning out to be a fucking scam and lie.
Anyways. We are good to go and the future is bright.

It is not (as) cold down there.. LOL

We have not been above freezing for almost 48 hours... and we had two nights almost in single digits.

Thankfully, no snow or ice where I am... missed it by about 20 miles.

Mine froze off and actually fell and shattered that one year it was negative 27 degrees Fahrenheit and -70 chill factor. Course you all knew I was a "unique" kind of guy. That's why Gabor doesn't turn me on. ha

I have sent out the artwork for the awards and payed for them right away.
Damn these guys want a debit card right away.
I am sensing they don't trust people.
I have been doing business with them for a number of years now but apparently that means nothing LOL.
Anyways. Stan we have 16 categories. If you are still up for it we will need 16 bases.
Thank you!
Now I got to get on with the Shirts and caps.
Meanwhile we have to now get all kinds of paperwork that we never had to before due to the little action group we have down at Wauchula!
Just what we needed. More freaking work!
UUUGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:punch

Interesting you say that Gabor (about suppliers being careful with their $$$).

At the wholesale level... I am getting some flack from my supply houses... they are watching the customers more carefully. Thankfully... I have a good relationship with the folks I work with... however I have heard some grumbling by the folks that are late on their bill now and then.

And I see most of the supply houses are having a price increase this spring... most are either the first of March or the first of April.

Looks to me like a shift in the way business is done...
