So I am running Linux xubuntu on my crappy computer at home in the shop, it has been working fine, I keep getting update notifications from linux, so OK fine go ahead and do the updates, firefox etc....so it updates and I restart and all I get is a black screen, not even a blinking cursor, totally black, great!!! as if I don't have enough to work on........... I was able to bring windows back up, but even that is not 100% I may just have to pull the hard drive out and get all my files moved to my portable hard drive...sucks!

Just wait til they won't sell us hard drives anymore and make us use the cloud only for everything.
I believe Windows 10 is the precursor to that. Ubuntu used to run great on an old computer I had until they moved some of the functions to the cloud. I gave up on waiting. It sits in the closet now along with the old XP computer that Microsoft slowed down. Bastards.
