My nephew stopped by my shop today asking a favor. He wants me to deliver a wedding ring to him and his girlfriend as they are out riding around on one of my dads farms. He asked if I could just bring it to them.

I suggested I fly by and circle around , hover and drop his ring that's in a small weighted box, then back away into a hover with my GoPro capturing this. He and his girlfriend could walk over and Luke could kneel down and see what I dropped off. My camera will capture the surprise, the hugs and tears.

He wants to do this in the next few days, possibly even today.

I will post the video and some pictures I plan to take of them after I exit the chopper.

Awesome! I remember one day a helicopter hovered over my back yard and there came a bunch of roses pouring out of it....... Helicopter pilots are such a hopelessly romantic people by nature......I think......I think......

A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.

Arnie- Yes....you talked to Lukes dad Jim Ehmen on the phone for an hour and a half.

Luke is real nervous about this....proposing to his girl friend. I think he should be more nervous with that crazy helicopter pilot !

Luke is a good kid, and Arnie , I will tell you more over the phone when you are feeling better.

Luke and his dad took over my dads farm ground after I voluntarily pursued my own passion in life. They are both doing extremely well, and I am very happy for them with absolutely no regrets at all walking away from a "give to me" farm operation.

I love how everybody is happy with what they do for a living.

Now Luke will have a very fortunate fiancee as she will be marrying a very wealthy guy. It makes me feel warm inside that I stepped aside and opened up a door for Jim and Luke to have a lucrative career that they love doing.......and I went on my own.

I also talked to your sister Jan , nice people .... say hi for me. I cringe worrying about their phone bill , never thought about it until afterwards it probably was one of those international cell phone calls that cost a dollar a minute !!!

Tuesday I had (hopefully) my last round of chemo , makes me sick as a dog but hopefully in couple months I will be over the worst of it.

If Luke is able to he should try to have a camera running too , maybe set it on his 4-wheeler or something ...... mind you he will be having all those marriage jitters and will be busy enough.

Luke wants to propose today, except we have severe storms forecast. The logistics of just happening to find them on their 4 wheeler has to be spontaneous...or it will look staged like it really is.

Stay tuned.......it will happen today or tomorrow.

Arnie, my sister absolutely loved talking to you. She has had some amazing experiences herself to share....that are unbelievable.

Thanks for telling me that , I sure enjoyed talking to her too , she is a smart gal , we covered every topic under the sun , I still worry if they got a shocking phone bill :)

Interesting how cheap my long distance phone rates are , about a buck an hour. Cant beat that.

To those curious,Arnie called my sister, didn't catch her, then my sister called Arnie back.

I took my sister out to lunch and she was just overwhelmed with her 97 minute phone call to Arnie. I asked her what phone plan she has. It was the same as mine....unlimited minutes.....but......$1 a minute for calls to Canada! She about freaked out thinking she was going to get a $97 phone bill for that one call. She called her phone company immediately and they verified it was a dollar a minute, but they waived the charge this one time for her.

Arnue, what you have shared with me the last two years has blown my socks off, and I am a hard sell.

I have the big rock loaded in my helicopter and the plan is to fly out to another farm tomorrow...Friday.....at 12:10 p.m. I will hover and set down and set his diamond that's disguised in a small weighted oil filter box, on the ground and then back away into a hover and capture the proposal with my GoPro camera.

This is going to be another exciting mission for my helicopter experiences. Never a dull moment in that thing.

The Turbinator is trembling ready to go, but not as much as Luke is trembling.

I laughed and told him today, "We have to get this proposal done and get that gal off the market!"

Gabor- You must have some cool proposal stories or some hot chicks stories while you were a helicopter instructor.

The mission was a success! She said yes, and is now off the market.

I captured it hovering 30 feet away and will post the video tonight.
