Who remembers their FIRST TIME all alone SOLO ....OUT of the pattern away from the airport????? I DID IT ......TODAY!!!!
Bloody'ell ... my face is sore from the giant grinnnn!
Altitude is a drug ... "being -the-bird" ... under your own rotorwing is utterly AMAZING!!! .... going out to explore the airspace out & beyond the runway!!!! WHEEEEEE .... what a blast!!!
I hope the winds will allow more tomorrow!
I have NEVER gone through 5 gal in a session before .... 1:15 hr of controlled adrenalin & ecstasy!!!
...to know!!

Fantastic!!!! Congrats, you are on your way. My gyro is all inspected and ready; Des coming down next weekend to do some final tweaking and adjustments and then hopefully I'm up and away as well.

Chris- Way to go! You will steadily increase your wind limits, and soon find how much fun flying in wind can be. You land so slowly. Good to hear your progress.

WAY TO GO CHRIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember it (kinda), it was 1978 (could have been 1979), in a Cessna 152... really an 'on top of the world' feeling and experience.
Now I want to have it again, in a gyro...

Chris- You are getting a lot of positive comments on the RWF.....and knowing that the lurker/poster ratio is very high over there......you are generating a lot of good exposure for gyroplanes. The RWF definitely has its place for anything with a rotor and a motor.....politics and religion just are sidetracks, and plenty of places to get those topics vented.
But again, very nicely done flying and you are an inspiration to hundreds of potential newbies.

I hope Jim will soon be able to make that same accomplishment with Tiggy B!
