I did have a really cool cat once , her name was Myra and I got her from the milk man in town.

She was a Canadian long haired Manx with no tail and the best hunting cat in the world

The milk man and his wife had paid a lot of money for Myra and then had her spayed so she was a cat with no tail and a cat who couldn't get any tail from the Tom Cats.

So she spent all her energy catching any birds who flew over the milkman's back yard , she would launch out of the grass and catch them in the air , and their whole back yard was full of feathers , so Mrs milkman gave her to a good country home

Which of course was me. My old cottage had mice getting in the the cracks in the foundation and Myra would catch and eat 3 or 4 of them over night and then pile up a couple of dead ones for a daytime snack

Pretty soon all the mice stopped coming in the house so Myra would go outside for the day , come back fat as a balloon , plus bring a couple of dead mice into the house for a midnight snack .

After a while that got boring so she would bring live mice into the house and let them go so she could have a live hunt every evening. I did not like that at all , but thought it was pretty clever , so I never told her I didn't love her or anything.

Actually I did love that cat , she was totally self sufficient , never even needed a litter box , she just let me know when she wanted to go outside and I opened the door.
Within a year or two she had caught every single mouse on my acreage and my dads farm , so she started catching squirrels , some of those squirrels were bigger than she was , but she didn't care

Myra would lay in the grass for days until the squirrels were relaxed and safe and came to the ground to gather acorns or something , she would watch them for hours at a time and then she would make her move.

Squirrels are pretty quick and they would be 3 feet up the tree but they didn't realize Myra had been catching birds at 4 feet altitude for years and she caught them all . It would take her a couple of days to eat one and she was fat as a balloon for many years.

Even in the winter she would catch squirrels or find frozen fish caught in the ice in the river , but whenever she wanted , I would always have plenty of cat food for her but her favorite was to get my table scraps of leftover steak and chicken .

The only house rule Myra ever broke was when I made a big roast beef , I would pour the drippings into an old paper cup or something and put it in the garbage can , along with the 3 foot long cord the butcher wrapped around the roast to hold it together while cooking.

Myra would dig thru the garbage and eat all the beef fat and the cord and then have that cord dragging out of her ass for several days until it passed through her system.

It was funny as hell to see , she would have 2 feet of cord coming out her ass with a bunch of sticks and leaves clumped around it from her travels through the woods

Myra always forgave me for laughing at her. Boy I loved that cat !!!!

I knew you would have an appropriate name for that cat !!!! .... it was a brown-orange one that tried to kill me , my DNA is under its claws.

If it indeed is my cat , I will pay you child support , your food and housing costs , any vet charges you may have occurred , plus I will give you a raise !!!!!

I take care of the people who protect me from PSYCHO the Manitoba cat !!!!!

Everybody knows that there is no way my cat could walk all the way to Kansas on its own. That is why we have tornadoes.

Tornadoes drop all kinds of critters in Kansas

That place where farmer jim lives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arnie -

No doubt in my mind that yer 'killer cat' (Psycho) caught a ride with a tornado, and prob learned the 'string trick' from Myra ?!?!?!?

It was observed stalking a rodent which darted into the center of a ball of twine, which was stored on the self, waiting for hay season. The balls of twine used in our small square twine baler hold 7000' each, and, whilst looking a bit overfed for a few days, it was interesting to watch a line of twine moving around the farmyard, knowing that Psycho was within 6999 feet of the end of said moving twine line. :)

Alright, that may be abit of a yarn, BUT I DID NOT NEED THE MENTAL IMAGE OF MYRA'S BUMM, STRING ATTACHED ! :cry :cry :cry

Goodonya, Mate -
