My granddaughter McKenzy was out of town at a friends house who was having a big birthday party. She wanted "choppapapa" to fly over and land my helicopter. I had just flown for an hour and had put it away....but how could I turn that request down? I was soon hearing that whoommmffff as the turbine lit its internal fire. MY new batteries spun her up to 22000 rpm briskly,,,,then it was soon running at 61,500 rpm as I headed for the party.

I did a hi-recon and a low recon and then landed in the corner next to the bouncy house they had set up.

Were those kids ever excited! I sure was spoiled the first time I tasted having the ability to land and take off from most anywhere......and I use that option a lot. This was yet another time.

My granddaughter is sitting in my Turbinator and she gave me the biggest hug that made my week!

Ya know Stan...

One of those kids may well end up in an Aviation career... because of your willingness to share!

A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.
