I like it when you find out something that looks difficult is really not so...
I like gel blasters and airsoft, and used to think that the main springs were made, then heated and quenched or somehow 'made springy'... then I saw some videos on the intertubes and they are simply cold wound and 'voila' a spring...
Out of anything from guitar/piano strings, wire cable strands... welding wire or rods... whatever.... then, not even heat treated??
What a let down....
Of course, car and train bigger springs are wound then heated and quenched... I am talking about small springs for guns and stuff.....
