Yeah...those stock blades truly SUCK! They were made to be noise compliant and in order to achieve that they took the material and the efficiency out of them. Truly a poor design and workmanship on the stock props!

Warp Drives seem to do just fine on Rotaxes even though they are a little heavier. They have a reputation for being bullet proof. Lockwood who make my Aircam use them standard on the Aircam with no problems that I know of. I have Sensenich, love them, and their simple pin balancing system is hard to beat, but they are pricey.

Being , the Bolly Magnum looks like a good choice.
The Warp drive propeller is very sturdy, but probably heavier (harder on the gearbox) and noisier.
A slightly heavier prop (in balance) would not be any harder on a gearbox than a very lightweight propeller... any propeller is hard on a gearbox if it is out of balance or you let the motor idle too slow... like when you see someone with no brakes or poor brakes trying to idle and you can hear the motor/gearbox chattering.... once the motor is reving at a higher speed, it all smooths out.
Even if you arent worried about delaminating props, it is good to put some 'helicopter leading edge tape' on the leading edge of the blades... stops sand or grass seeds from sandblasting the leading edge of the prop ..... and can help prevent delamination from small rocks and stuff chipping at the leading edge... the tape can be easily peeled off and replaced if it gets any damage...
expensive, but you only need do the outside 2/3rds of each blade... so about 18" or so from tip in each blade. Stops moisture getting at leading edge too
Once upon a time there was Aero Prop - made by some people.
Then they split up and one guy kept the name Aero Prop. The other became Luga prop. He now calls it "NRprop".
They both make the same propeller - same quality, same price.
Someone else - "mostly in Canada" - sell the propeller as Koolprop. Higher price, local service. Probably also a good deal for Norteamericanos.
Someone named Meglin sell the Luga/Aero prop under his own name. Another Ukrainian.
I didn't like the HTC, which had delaminated from the foam inside. And the IVO is soft and the one certified is the expensive variable-pitch version.
In the UK a Woodcomp is certified also. So I could buy that, but I'd much rather choose myself.
I was then told: Buy the propeller you want - then we'll figure out how to get it approved. Yeehaaa
So now I'm sitting here, money in hand so to speak, and tossing a coin. Which prop will it be? Luga or Aero? I have to check my old propeller tomorrow to see, which mounting holes I can use before I order..

Sounds like a plan Erik! The only info I have is from Tango Gyro, I was talking to Alex and what He told me was that Luga prop had changed the mfg process, changed resin suppliers, or something to that extent, then there were several instances of cracking at the root of the prop on the Yamaha powered Tango's, and Luga would not warranty the work. So Alex changed to Aero, and from what I hear the Aero will handle the higher HP and they will warranty their workmanship. So that's what I hear over on this side of the pond.
On a side note wasn't one of the guys originally involved with Kiev prop? And factory got destroyed during invasion of Ukraine.?

So, I passed the first 4 exams...but now there are 9 of them.
And the powers-that-be has upped the price 50% in the two years, since I passed them last.
Well, it's "the only shop in town". Worst of all, it's now 9 exams (hm, each just 16 questions tests) - but one can only show his/her face 6 times total. If all are not passed within 6 attempts, I'll have to start over again.
I have fixed (wrong size hole in hub) and mounted the propeller, but I need to find another way to route the fuel lines from tanks to filters to electric fuel pumps. No space there. But I already cried for help on that one.
I bought a set of LED nav lights - also have to figure out the wiring. And I just got a mail, where Spruce.eu offer another set for way less...
I have to buy and fit a new 8.33 kHz radio, since I plan on flying through Sweden on my way to the rest of Denmark. No other way...
I'll of course choose same brand as the old - that's the cheapest and it's plenty good enough. Just need to check wiring.
The problem popped up because I bought a Flycom helmet in England. They say, there are differences between these two Funke radios. I'll need a higher gain on the mike, they say. So I told them to go ahead, because I'll order the ATR833S.
So, I am still at it. Just thought you needed an update.
