Heard about that this morning...

Said it refueled, then engine sounded funny, and down it went.

Sounds like bad fuel to me... however I am sure there are more details.

I always wonder about these engine outs and how they end up being so damn fatal!!! I just feel for the families. These guys were simply doing their jobs. Yes...accidents like this will completely render helicopter pilots to be unnecessary. Drones! They can crash and no cost of operating them safely and much closer than a helicopter can ever get to an event.....sad but it's the unstoppable logical progression of the industry.

Whitnesses on the pad said they heard a buzz sound comming from the helicopter, After take off it turned/spun 180+ deg. Whitnesses on ground said it went quiet then the nose went down. Sounds like tail rotor loss of thrust , engine shut down ,pictures showed helicopter on its side intact on fire, Blades showed low energy unpowered damage. T/R no damage, Helicopter on right side ,cocpit crushing up to pilot seat. Not good, That damn plastic fuel tank split.
