ROTRs 10th anniversary edition is "done 'n dusted" for another year ..... deliberately kept low key with the new location @ Nephi ...hosted by URA and Pegasus Aviation( Mike B & Marc C) ...those who showed had a great time ... fellowshipping and some morning flying in the cooler calmer conditions ...we had a hot week with high afternoon wind conditions & very high DA .... missed my 914 powered TE ... but got a few lighter folks a ride in the back seat of my 912 TE. It certainly challenged & improved my pilot skills flying with an underpowered gyro - in these conditions!
Posted lots of pics on FB.
Got my first video edited ....YAYYYY ... after a long hiatus due to the crap"upgrades" to iMovie ... making it unusable for me and the fiasco with my editing computer last year ... I'm back in the Gopro movie making!
Glenn & I had a magical 5 days "pre-ROTR" private fly-adventures around the MOAB area ... gyros based at Canyonlands airport(Moab) .... we have been busy editing & youTubing the masses of footage we shot! he helped me find a new mac- video editor that I can get along with!
We flew 8-10 in the morns ... then spent the rest of days at camp processing Gopro, pics chatting and relaxing - on vacation!
here is the first of my vids ..... Glenn's ... here -
Thank you for uploading and taking the time to fiddle with all electronics and software mayhem! I know how crazy it gets..... I envy your ability of going around and enjoying life the way you do! You are my chick hero!!!!!!!!!!!! Love ya!!!!!

Some of that landscape is not too friendly in case of an engine out!!!! But it is beautiful nonetheless.

It's already 10 days past & feels like a lot longer ... wonderful to have the video memories to relive ... .... it was WAAAY too much to take in in real time! ... & yes SO much grander in real life!
It was amazing ...as hostile "tiger-terrain-ish" as it appears in the limited camera view ... I was very comfortable in all but a few spots ... where an engine blip would have been nasty! 95% of the time we were within landing distance of good 4wheel drive tracks, good sealed tourist roads & open spaces with track access ... the area is riddled with quad/jeep trails!

Hi Chris!!! As soon as I got the bug for gyros. I knew I wanted to fly Moab as you just did! I've driven bikes and jeeps all over Moab and always envied the birds as I watch them fly where I could not go.
Now I got to fly in gyro's vicariously with you and Glen!!! Awesome, really, cannot wait until I get the two place done and do the same.
Thank you Glenn and Chris for sharing!!!!
I know how much time it take, and then with problems. It really is appreciated!

Very nicely done! Thank you for sharing. Making them steep turns feels almost as if I were there with you!!!

All my pictures of the good time had by all attending ROTR 2017 ... @ Nephi ...unpromoted & low key due to insurance logistics ... next year will be run as an EAA event ... thus fully insured!

That worked thank you! Marion looks good! Vance has gotten a huge belly.... what's the story with that? Looks like a lot of fun. Surprisingly large gyro community. Thank you for sharing.
