This is similar to Gabors knife throwing. When I used to compete with muzzle loaders in shooting contests, there would usually be a tomahawk throwing contest. I won many shooting contests , but never won any tomahawk throwing contests. The guys/gals that do this all the time are deadly.

Here is a short video of myself sticking a tomahawk into a tree at 10 yards.

Years ago watching tomahawks in the movies made me skeptical of it being a deadly hand thrown weapon. But after throwing one, I could see myself as an Indian sticking a tomahawk in someone's skull.

I am just an average clod throwing a tomahawk. I have found that almost everyone can learn to stick a tomahawk in a tree in about 5 minutes. Vance has stopped by my stair shop and he stuck that same tomahawk in that same tree. What surprised me, is that he is part Indian and it took him longer than average. He only has one eye though.

Let me know if you can see the video. I can't see any videos on this site for some reason , probably I am inept at such stuff.

Muz- It is really easy to get a totally newbie sticking that tomahawk in a tree. Perhaps throws and they start getting the hang if it.

I have a dumpster In my shop that I toss cut offs into from wherever I am in the shop. It's amazing how accurate you get when you have been doing it for 30 years!

Muz- Dave comes out every week and gets my scrap. He makes doll houses, glues up blanks and turns lamps on his lathe.

Muz- I love anything with hand eye coordination...whether its shooting basketballs, hand guns, throwing darts, knives, tomahawks,

When the weakest link is your control of your coordination, it makes it a challenge.

I would like to see what you can do with a blow dart. I never have tried that and it looks like fun.

I have a shooting buddy that is a killer at darts. If I didn't have guns, I probably would get into that.
