I was on my way to wrens, and the car blew a heater hose, had to get it towed, now waiting on repair estimate.
Oh well shit happens.

Dang, $536.00 later i get my car back, took the guy all day, had both heater hoses replaced and the thermostat and housing, I am kind of glad I didn't have to do it, all that crap is on the back side of the engine, with no room to work.
I can't beleive I was all ready to go to wrens.....oh well there is always next year right?

Often times the good ol days were not all that good
but it was not all that long ago when that job could have
been done on almost any vehicle on the road in half an
hour.

The cars and trucks that we make today have a lot
of good points but stuff that used to not be all that big a
issue is now enough reason to send some cars and trucks to
the junk yard.

Yeah i talked to mechanic, a young guy, I told him that I used to be an auto mechanic back when the only diagnostic equipment that we needed was a dwell meter to set the points, and he said, "I don't even know what that is" :realcrazy I am NOT that old! .

Georgia won this year according to Barry's chagrin.
A good turnout.
I heard 31 gyros. I didn't count them.

I forgot my camera but I hope someone took a picture of the wooden framed one powered by ceiling fans.\
It was a hoot.

Amen to that Ray, I had to do that in the middle of Death valley, my 1977 Honda accord, car started running badly and almost quit near a little town called, "Essex", Had my 19 yr old wife and 4 month old baby in the car,
Got a book of matches and re set the point gap, and hit the road all the way to Oakland Ca.
