The first time I saw cnc bending was on theat 'Howe and Howe' when they were making another tracked machine for use in mining... the machine would scallop the ends and bend the shape then scallop the last end so the piece is ready to weld in talk about cheating
Then I saw on Fox a show, megafactories I think, they were making big hardly rideables .... they would scallop, bend and finish a piece of bike frame, it looked skinny and dimpled at the bends.... then they put that squiggle of tube in a die, closed the lid (matching die) then pumped 56864164896496# of oil under pressure into each end... then opened the die and took out the piece of frame... much bigger and no dimples any more.... it had blown up the pipe to fit the inside of the die....
Makes you sick .... they pumped a piece out about every 20 seconds
It is in here somewhere

Sure is easy when you have the right tools, too bad we cannot afford them.... Delta has a 5 axis router for cutting floor panels and sheet metal, it is about 12ftx 12ft,
With one of those CNC tube benders you could squirt out mini bikes, go karts, or even cro-mo gyro frames in minutes!
