A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.

.

Cool ... I like the slotted hole in the attachment tabs ... good idea

I will let you in on a little secret .... in the 1970's I did much the same thing ... a homemade idea ... I used an old spot welder ... that did not spot weld sheet metal worth a shit ... and converted it by cutting a slot in the copper tip of the "hot" lead so that it would hold a steel washer (spacer)

Place the edge of the washer in the bottom of a dent and give it a 3 second buzz to tack-weld the washer on the car ... then put a hook in the hole of the washer and pull the dent out ... then give the washer a little twist and it came off.

If it was a long crease or large dent I would tack a bunch of washers on and pull them all until the panel was straight. Fast and slick , didn't even burn the rubber undercoating off the back of the fender or door , saved a huge amount of labor time

In the 1980's the tool manufactures caught on to the idea and came out with a hand held model , like a large and heavy pistol , it used a copper coated stud that had a head on it like a nail ... spot weld the stud in the dent , then clamp on it and pull .... I bought one of the first ones ever made and 29 years later the shop is still using it (I sold the shop years ago)

That new one in the video above looks like a new generation of the same idea but has the excellent advantage of being able to put lots of tabs close together ... plus the brilliant idea of the slotted hole ... using the straight bar in the hole naturally pulls the dent nice and straight automatically. Smart idea !!!!

That is good... I watch a show called 'wheeler Dealers' and Edd used that key system on some fix... very impressive. I have always welded nails on to do any dent pulling. I also looked around to see how to make one and found on google and youtube about how to make a spot welder from the guts of an old microwave oven :like :koolaid :yoda2 :Wolvie
