look what the excavator operator dug up today!
I bet he goes home and pours himself a stiff drink :)

We deemed it safe to move and got it out of the area. The other team will Demil it on their shift. Not as much fun for us that way, but I don't have to do the paperwork!

Drops, this is what I do for a living.
We are assisting a construction company who is building on an old bombing range. Semi expected by us, not by the excavator crew.

First time I hit one of these while laying cable with the edge of the axe it made an indent about 1/4" from the detonator nose...... So we dug around it and sure enough it was a broken off tail WWII German mofo. I sat for a while after that and let my coworkers do the digging......we had found 5 more on that island during that project. It was funny how the pyrotech guys just tossed them on the truck that had sand in the bed. I guess they were used to these :realcrazy

I wanted to be a Navy SEAL, but I got to high of a score on my ASVAB.
So I had to go EOD instead .
It's just like being a Navy SEAL.
But us EOD guy are smarter and prettier then Navy SEAL's.

As an elite member of the U.S. NAVY's EOD community I was traind in every aspect of the EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL world, including weapons of all shapes and sizes .
Including guns .
Now I know guns are scary, dangerous and bad, but if handled with the proper safety precautions and with respect they are virtually harmless .
Now take this big gun for instance.
The first thing my EOD team leader has me do is check to see if the gun is loaded before somebody gets hurt.
All safe here Chief as far as I can see she is clear, no bullets here.
Safety first .
We are now good to go .

Plus I seen every episode of McGuyver.
