Doug Hughes. Tampa Area.

And that is GyRonimo! (I wonder if I should go delete all the videos of me flying that machine).

Kind of a bummer that it would happen on the first day of Bensen Days. Gotta know that'll have some impact on the event.

You know what is coming now. Passing a psychological test will be a requirement for someone to purchase an aircraft. :cry

Great...I got my medical renewed right after the Germany thing. My Medical Examiner was already shaking in his boots about things to come.

On a positive note:

That was a great little gyro. It taught me to fly, and it taught Billy Steward (billygyro). I flew the heck out of the thing and it never let me down. It'll probably end up in a museum. I say, "Good!" That would be a fitting end for that machine. Much better than having it continue to sell through multiple owners and end up in the recycle bin, as do many starter gyros.

It might not be as bad as it seemed at first.... evidently, according to Arnie, the guy made 'an appointment' letting them know he was on his way and that it was a stunt to bring attention to finance reform.... so he will prolly be in doo doo, but not deep doo doo.... :laughing :laughing

He will be famous, that's for sure (infamous?) I guess he will be on all the talk shows.... once he gets out :laughing

Nahhh.... he'll be ok I reckon :like :pop :wol2 :Wolvie

.

Yes , flying in restricted airspace broke some rules , but he did this whole stunt with class , announced it to authorities ahead of time , and was able to deliver his political message better than he probably ever dreamed .

This whole thing has gone viral around the world and gyros will see a resurgence in popularity akin to when James Bond flew one in his movie

He even made it to #2 spot on the DRUDGE REPORT .... guess who made #1 spot ... it was Hillary Clitlikker and her "FAKE" audience she bussed in to a coffee shop in LeClaire Iowa on her campaign tour ... to me Doug Hughes has more credibility than her , and right now he is probably more popular

Besides , the White House Lawn belongs to him more that the politicians hiding inside

.

You are 100% correct. My guess is he is sitting in the president’s office having coffee with him discussing his letters. I’m sure the FAA will give him a small fine and maybe suspend his right to fly for a couple months. He warned them and they did nothing as usual.

I agree with what Arnie said. I think in the end, gyrocopter's will come out ahead but to ward off others, Doug will pay a price for this stunt.
I'm hoping that our dumb congressmen will listen to what Doug has to say and finally do something that helps our country and the people.
Not going to hold my breath though.....
