I found this gem. Sorry I had to share it!

Henry, I don’t know how well you know that area yet but, my uncle owns the flying J private airfield at the Mandeville exit. It’s on the Memphis sectional. On the Little Rock side of Texarkana, behind the Flying J truck stop. I’m sure I could hook you up with 8,800 acres all owned by him for your enjoyment. It’s a great place to fly. Back in the day I flew my 172 into there a bunch. In fact back when I was 10 his crop dusters inspired me to fly. Took my first flight out of that field in one, I was hooked after that.

Henry, Yes they weather has sucked. I have a lake in between my shop door and Heli pad. We spent all day today on a chainsaw from the ice and snow before all this rain. May take four or five more good days to finish it up, but its going to start rain again. Bummer!!!

Henry, There are no aircraft at that field anymore. it's just our private strip. It would be a great place to fly your powered parachute.

Well gents, I am a officially one of the Arkansas pilots now! Went to see furious 7 with the wife in Texarkana this Am. Came back to Hope and went to the airport with all my gear. Set up and did a few practice runs to get comfy. Put on the Wiley Coyote Ass Fan and not only had a nice take off, but after a few set up runs came in for a textbook landing..this time on my feet! It was great to be in the air again and in my new "home" away from home! Kat got some nice pics, but.dont know how to get from text message to here.

I’ll take some time in the next few days to explain how we do it, but I need to know what kind of phone you are using??? LOL!!! Unless someone here beats me to it, which is a good thing…
