There have been a couple of documentary shows about that 'technique' of line maintenance over the years... I fist saw someone doing it in 1990... had to get a camera and take a picture of it... figured nobody would believe me (I was right, folks thought I was crazy seeing the pic).

I am sure they get hazard pay, however IMO that might be a little too 'specialty' for me.

I saw this documentary on discovery a long time ago and it reminded me of the choppers that used to buzz the power poles as a kid. :)
