Sorry for the method of contact, but I don't seem to have your number or email. Besides, folks need to know to avoid the site until it is corrected (if Google is right, that is).

Google is reporting that PRA.ORG "may be hacked." This generally means they have identified malware or other goodies during their indexing. I saw this today (Feb 4, 2015) at 12:00 EST while doing some routine SEO evaluation for the peach state and sunstate sites.

2nd time then!!!

But it's up and running so not the same hack.
Now comparing file by file to my last backup?

If you have the site setup with google webmaster tools (and if you don't you should NOW...and bing webmaster tools too, for that matter), there should be a more complete description of the issue there along with some clearing suggestions. That would be an important first step.

Ultimately, you need to figure out what Google is whining about. If they whine long enough, they'll put a block on the site that sends a message to browsers not to allow access to the site. If that happens, it becomes tedious.

This is what google says in their whine:

You'll see the message "This site may be hacked" when we believe a website may have been hacked. The hacker may have changed some of the existing pages on the site, or added new spam pages. If you visit the site, you may be redirected to spam or malware.

We recommend that you don't visit the website until this message disappears from the search result.
How to remove the message if you're the site's webmaster

The "This site may be hacked" notification will not be removed until the webmaster of the site takes action.

Try these steps to fix your website:

1. Register and verify your site in Google’s Webmaster Tools.
2. Sign in to Webmaster Tools and check the "Security Issues" section to see details of sample URLs that may be hacked. Fix the security issue that allowed your website to be infected. Otherwise, your site is likely to be reinfected.
3. Read our resources for hacked sites for detailed information on how to fix your website.
4. Request a review in the Security Issues section in Webmaster Tools when your entire website is clean and secure.

After we determine your site is fixed, we'll remove the "This site may be hacked" notification.

I suspect, assumed that the programmer PRA paid for this mess set up the google web tools. I set all of my 4 sites with it!

The hardest part may be just regaining access as the Google registered webmaster!
We have several software tools registered to Scott who has become too busy to help me gain access! Which then takes days or weeks to prove who I am and why the change.

No. It is simple if you still have FTP access to the site.
1. Log into ANY google webmaster account (or start a brand new one).
2. Click on Add New Site
3. Get the key file (somefilename.xml) and FTP it to the home directory of pra.org.
4. Click VALIDATE and the site will be added to that google webmaster tools account.

It used to be that Google didn't care how many Webmaster Tools accounts managed a single site. Someone told me that when you validated a site now it MOVED it from one account to another. Either way, it isn't a problem... if it gets "borrowed" from an account and moved to another, it can move back just as easily.

I can do that!!! It only took "TWO WEEKS" to get access to FTP!

I see that Google is still unhappy with PRA.ORG and the warning is still posted. Does that mean the issue is severe or is it just a matter of finding time to fiddle with it?
