Too much time has passed for a Genesis gyro to be flying in the United States. I have decided to hand make an "In About 2 Weeks" award to be given to the owner of the first Genesis to fly in the United States.

This will be made out of select wood as I don't waste my time messing with both nothing but the best.

So.....John Rountree, Gary McClure , Brian Willis, and Heath Lowry.....be the first to fly your Genesis and this one of a kind award is yours!

This ",in about 2 weeks" phrase was spoken to me far too long , and now it kind of went viral in the gyro community.

I will mail the award to Bensen Days or Mentone or wherever the recipient will be.

Good luck!

COOL idea Stan...

And may the most deserving pilot win.

I did not know of all the awards that are handed out every year at Benson Days, the first time I attended (2013). If I had... I could have gotten the award for the longest time between log book entries...
The previous flight log book entry for me was in 1982... then at Benson Days.

Getting an award when one is a rookie... priceless... :)

.

George Clooney started the TWO WEEKS slogan in his movie O Brother, Where Art Thou

That is how long it would take for George to get some Dapper Dan Pomade shipped to him

Stan perpetuated the slogan by having to wait TWO WEEKS for his Helicycle Turbine to be shipped

And now it has taken on a life of its own in the rotorcraft community so I had the idea to make a TWO WEEKS award for people who wait patiently for stuff to be shipped to them

To keep it humorous , and a great conversation piece a replica tin of Dapper Dan mounted on a base (pricey @ $27) .... or a Dapper Dan decal mounted on wood or something similar ....
