Madmuz- Hanging from a 2nd point.....if....its a strong point....will give a larger intersecting angle of the two hang lines...and makes it more accurate.

We also balanced it on the mains and that vertical line also intersected the double hang intersection...nicely varifying it.

Technically, the rotor blades should have had their droop held to their cone angle while flying. The dropping blades slightly lower the blades CG that they are actually at during flight. We didn't have any light cord to do this. It would have raised the actual CG of the gyro a few tenths of a inch is all...so it was miniscule.

Some gyros can't be safely hung other than the teeter bolt...so then, yes...balance on mains and shoot a laser beam vertically from the axle centerline through the hang point....and....voila...a dead accurate CG plot!

wow that did look smooth, but then again Greg can make any gyro look smooth.

yeah there is no dought that is a fine machine. and I bet it sells fast. How many hours does it have on it now?

still hard to believe you are selling it. I sure hope your new Design works out as nicely. looking forward to that build thread.

if you get enough Funds, how long do you think it would be before you would have the new gyro Built?

I saw ya got it listed on Barnstormer.com.

Nice, that means we will still get to see it flying sometime.
you did a hell of a job Building it,and it would be ashame for it to go out of state and not be seen again.
now get to work on that new gyro.. :)
how much work space will the new gyro take up when being built versuse the behemoth? like was the designed rotor mast height? and how wide will it be. I remember you showed me some drawings of it, but I don't think ya told me any size info. can't wait to see the new bird come together.

60 inches wide!!!? You could put Muz And Gabor in there!!
Will it have wi-fi? Cup holders sure would be nice in Barry's Cavalon....
When He flew it here he had like a McDonald's bag, dunkin donuts coffee cup, little debbie wrappers in the empty seat just as if it were his car, lol!

I truly did not anticipate this quick and this heavy interest!!!
I love it don't get me wrong. I just was a little taken back by it.
Stan told me once that it would sell quickly if I ever decided to do so.
He was right again :) :Wolvie
