Are there any hangers there with more than one FW in it? I would be looking for sure... point out any hangers with multiple planes.... what is good for gyros has to be good for everyone? :noidea

When you find hangers with more than one FW in it, I am sure the rules will suddenly change? :fuckum :Wolvie

just sayin' :killme :laughing :laughing

And how about a hanger with more than one helicopter (powered rotor)?

And of course the BIG hanger... it has more than one plane in it... <grin>

Hi Sweetheart

Oops did I say that out loud? Well Jim knows I'm in love with his wife! If only I did not love Jim like a brother too. Bummer it does suck to be a christian at time if your actually trying to be Christ like! HeHehehehe

Yaw-Mon, it b a FLYING party as they say in Jamaica; where the fun is going to keep on keeping on!

It's a PARTY, It's a PARTY, It's a PARTY, with flying friends maybe the best ever!!! :die :gyro2 :2weeks :wol

Cannot wait!!! Did I mention it's a party too?

Come on down and watch a Nissan fly? Cost = Just the rental price; Value = Priceless.

PS:

OK OK OK.....
Calm down people.
There is no trouble here.
Not a thing I can see suggests that there is any.
Before we let the emotions over ride our cool heads let's take a deep breath.
What you know to be the information is nothing more than speculation.
There is no danger and Wauchula was the home and will be the home for Bensen Days.
The city and the club has invested immense amount of money, time and energy into the event.
We realize it and they realize it too.
Therefore not only we have their word but a very unlikely ally is with us that can over rule any decision the airport authority board could make.
The one person who has been always against Bensen Days since day one is being neutralized.
And that's all ya'll need to know.
I don't want anyone using this event as a justification for Mentone airport!!!!!
It is not fair and I completely disagree.
Please do not use this fake and artificial panic creation for that purpose.
You need to explain the real reason of the purchase of the Mentone airport which was and still is creating a backyard fly in. And it would have been OK if they said it so.
Most people can see clearly how things are.
I do NOT wish to be the object of false justification.
Nobody should buy an airport on community money. Period!
Buy it on your own dime but do not force someone else into it.
Same way as I don't like the Affordable Care Act.
That is making decisions on my behalf that I am forced to pay for.
So relax peoplzzzzzzzzz
We are good!
:wol
ps: I have heard that there was a thread on RWF about it. I would ask you guys to post it there but I think I ought to do it myself. SO I am going to do so.

Knew you would fix it and tell us the truth so we can move forward somewhere.

Thank you Bro... You are another one of my HEROES!!

Rick acutely managed to moved my happiness needle to anxious (That doesn't happen very often) as I felt out of control until I realize I just get my clone Gabor to handle it!

I didn't fix it. Someone else did it. More of a power player who wants to remain in the background.
I am the puppet in front that takes the pot shots.
That's why I agreed to this position.
I don't have a problem stating my mind.
Right or wrong of course.
I am here to serve the masses and not cater to the few.
Been doing it pretty well for the 3rd year now.
I got a few interesting phone calls yesterday from pretty powerful people too!!!!
Let not your hearth be troubled.
We are a go.
Anything else is artificial panic generating.
WOLVERINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THX Gabor!

IMO it is easy to let one's emotions run out of bounds with something near and dear to one's heart (gyro's in this case). Knowing BD's 2015 is as much set in concrete as it can be... is a good thing.
And IMO lets (publicly) work on BD's 2016 AFTER 2015 is over.

I am not at all surprised that Brent Drake is using the speed bump that is the Bensen Days negotiations as justification for Mentone. Nevermind that every other club except the national organization is able to operate regularly and with little issue out of public airports. When one issue emerges that suits the agenta, it becomes the focal point of the "I-toldja-so" mongers.

It reminds me all too clearly of the media's agenda for gun control legislation. Nevermind any statistics or facts enforcing a contrary conclusion, for each individual altercation involving a gun of any type for any reason, the single event becomes the "absolute proof" that a problem exists and must be addressed in accordance with their agenda.

The "Mentonites" fail to realize that it isn't just airport ownership that gets the job done. All it would take is for a developer to buy up one of those bean fields and build a residential development next to the airport for the new residents to make the operation of that airport a living hell. The fact it has not happend...yet...is very "lucky" for the PRA. Luck is not a reliable basis upon which a business should be run.

They do not, of course, run the airport as a business. It is managed based upon "slight-of-hand" accounting to hide, or at the very least, to ignore the true cost. If a real cost (certified audit) of the airport operations were actually known, I suspect it would be at least equal or perhaps more costly than the expense of leasing an airport from a city/county/entity formally with all the legal insurances and permissions all tied up in a bow.

I do not, for the record, fault Robert Rymer. He merely accounts properly for the costs and revenues he is presented and creates reports on those data. It is the type of base-level accounting that is NORMAL for a small organization. What is abnormal is for a small organization to try and own/operate an airport. The "slight-of-hand" comes in when airport needs are met by donations of time, money and material to accomodate dire needs...that are really regular operating expenses. These costs and donations of time and materials are completely off the books and there are no reserves budgeted for any ongoing maintenance.

OK...I'll sit down and shut up now....talk among yourselves.

Bensen Days is on for sure. The City Manager WANTS us there. So despite to a few who did their best to screw this up for the club I am happy to announce that we are a go officially.
I'll be opening up the registration soon.
