I put this up over on the other side as a teaser. Not sure if I missed anyone but here it is also.

Feel free to comment; identify people or machines. Hope some of you comment about the style of flying or the style of construction. I had forgotten the size and excitement that we had back then. Enjoy.

What ? No comments ? There is a jump takeoff at the end.

Here's part 2. Not found over on the other side yet. I was hoping for some feedback before posting more.

Thanks.

For us "johnny-come-lately's" to the sport ... those retro videos ... are priceless & fascinating!! .... lots of stabless flying ... that yellow-gold ... sidexside ... ??? early Dominator! ( no N#)

the A&S 18 ... jump TO was GREAT! .... first one I've seen in action! ( Looks to me ... very much like the Cartercopter in action!)

Good Stuff!

Thanks for your efforts & sharing here!

Based on the dress of folks... I would say later 1980's to early 1990's... However could be wrong.

Curious as to the date of the videos???

in the 1 video, the guy with the grey hair is Helicopter Ed Alderfer pulling on that rope starter, Ed is still a good friend of mine, I need to get him to get on the Forum. he is in his 70's now and still flys his low rider air command, he was one of the first dealers for them. I am pretty sure the show off flying with no hands was D.F.

Loved the Footage of the Blue barrnett J4B2 Gyro, always likes those, Tom Milton has one he has been working on for years and Steve M. has one he picked up some where.

that Jump take off of the AS-18 was impressive.

I posted the Video with Ed in it to facebook and tagged Ed in it, we will see what he says about it.

OK. Bud O'Neal guessed the place and year. Okeechobee Fl. 1989. This was from a one hour VHS tape. I was there all day Saturday. There was a lot of flying going on. I tried to get shots of the newest items being shown that year. The tall tail was so new it had not yet grown its cross arms. Side by side seemed to be the way to fly a second person. There was freedom of movement in the flight line. Rides were given to all ages. The number of machines that were regularly flying seemed to be the norm for that time. Fuel was delivered by hand in plastic tanks. 2014 we still do it that way.

I'm having trouble getting number 5 to upload. Poor internet service today. Hope to have it up later tonight.
