Chaparral 2J Chevrolet
Built in 1970 as an experiment to improve traction in race cars ..... the suction was equivalent to 1000 pounds of downforce .... later it was determined that wings , spoilers , and air dams could do the same thing and race cars began designing aerodynamics into the car bodies . The suction fans were powered by a JLO snowmobile engine .... I figured Gabor would find the two props driven by one engine interesting ... I presume the drive belts are inside the nacelles . That's pretty cool....
 I once got sucked in a car too... that was pretty cool as well    I wonder of it has a catcher underneath it to store the manhole covers, nuts and bolts, paper, leaves and plastic bags etc you might run over? Just a high speed street sweeper I reckon? _________________ I do all of my own stunts..... most of them are even planned! Ok, Ok.... some of them are planned.. If electricity comes from ELECTRONS, then surely morality comes from MORONS?? |
