I used this company and it went well and was less then $300 to ship a crate with a broken down Air Command, the rotor blades, and a separate crate with an engine as shown on the truck. Might give then a shot. Attachment: crates 003.jpg

If I can get it picked up at his house, and delivered to a freight terminal here in ATL, I will be good, since I work at the airport I can pickup no problem, I have just never arranged anything for pickup before.

That's what I mean Scott.... there must be a freight terminal for every freight company in existence within the airport precinct, surely the company you work for has depots and fingers in pies everywhere, I would have thought it would be easy for you to find someone who can bring it right to you there

You may want to try Freightquote http://www.freightquote.com/I have used them 20 or 30 times over the last 18 years and they have always done me right. This may sound odd but what you have in the box can make a BIG difference in price. DO NOT USE THE WORD AIRCRAFT !!!!

How heavy is it ? UPS will now take up to 150 pounds. I think FedEx may do the same. They both used to have a 100 pound limit but I think it has been raised to 150.

I heard about that Stan...I think the box weighs about 160lbs. Plus a couple more smaller boxes.
