I love this stuff trivia: Until Copernicus , everybody on earth thought we were the center of the universe ... even after Copernicus many theologians still felt that our local planetary system must be at the center , because the Jewish Scriptures tend to indicate that as well. WHERE IS the center of the universe ??? ... no immediate answer was forthcoming .... so I posed the question again Finally it was explained that because the universe is expanding (space itself is expanding) ... then ANY POINT in the universe IS the center of the universe So using that analogy I suggested that from our vantage point EARTH IS at the center of the universe . They had to agree , but boy were they pi$$ed It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other , but I feel there is plenty we have yet to learn about the universe and I find your video very interesting John , thanks. .. |
