Phooie, Ptooie and a pox on your nostrils, those of you responsible for this ridiculous change from the very reasonable partition of daylight and dark we have during "Daylight Savings Time" to "Standard Time." They ought to call it "Vampire Time" or "You Are Not Allowed To Have A Life After Work" time.
May your underwear hatch ticks and may you mistake your toothpaste for silicone bathtub sealant! May the hinges of your toilet seat fail during the most inconvenient of private events! May it always BE something horrible every time someone says, "What's that noise?" for the rest of your miserable life.
Whomever YOU are...responsible for this plague on society...there is no punishment vile enough.
There...I feel much better now.

I was fortunate enough to live in both Indiana and Hawaii where they didn't change time. Indiana has since bowed to the evil daylight saving time forces. As far as I know Hawaii and Arizona do no such fool thing! They should have us set the clocks forward in the winter so there is daylight after work!!!

I HAVE ALWAYS HATED THE ridiculous flipping back & forth with the clocks .... as time zones are so arbitrary anyway ... & sunrise/set synchrony varies with the 'slice'n dice" ... I'd vote to split the diff & keep all the DST haters & lovers happy with a year-round one-time 1/2 hr shift! ..... more daylight after work ... ALL YEAR & no aggravating clock changing!
OF COURSE THIS VERY SENSIBLE option will never be considered ....... bloody control freaks

The concept of setting the clocks ahead in the spring in order to make better use of natural daylight was first introduced by US inventor Benjamin Franklin in 1784.
I hate it when the time changes , they should pick one and stick with it
Our neighboring Province of Saskatchewan leaves their clocks the same all year round and it can be confusing when crossing back and forth
Once I was invited to a wedding in tiny Togo Sk. , somehow I miscalculated the time by 2 hours .... and I didn't realize it until after the bride and groom were brought in haaa !!! ... 2 hours later the "proper" wedding party showed up .
On a "positive" note .... more than one terrorist bomber has blown himself up when he forgot to synchronize the clock-detonator with the time change that day.

IMO the defense of changing back to 'standard' time (whatever standard means)... is laid at the feet of Moms of little kids.... They want light outside when the school bus comes... However in my area the middle schoolers are literally out there waiting for the bus at 6:00 AM (not a typo).
So IMO there is now NO excuse, other than politics, for this silly time switch thing.
I like Chris' idea... Split the difference and STAY there.
