Can anyone tell me why this gyro has skids in addition to wheels?
I Think it is the Brako French gyro, but I don't get the skid thing.

Probably so they can pretend it is a helicopter? A lot of gyro pilots really wish they had a helicopter... :Cheapass :laughing :laughing

Maybe so they can put floats on easily? :Nazi

Because they can? :chainsaw

For the ice and snow season? Yeah I'm grasping.
And that overhead bar can't be much use.

I know it is the same old euro tub frame, but I think it is good it doesn't have the usual bathtub mounted on it so it looks a bit different.

I also saw pics of another 'naked' eurotub which looked good too....

Probably costs the same tho :Nazi :die

I would think that it is for engine out landings on fields that are to soft for wheels, years ago there was a man who put a ski in font of the nose wheel on a bensen for engine out landings in bean fields, I think his name was Bob Potts .
