Alright. I am about to leave now. Heading to his airstrip. "No pics it didn't happen" is still the rule? Looks like we have some remaining high clouds. I don't mind that. I'll have you a report on this beauty. I am debating on the Flash Gordon undies though.....

This might suit you better? Just remember to put the pants on, so we don't accidently see something we don't want to :bigballs

Now, go fly and report back with photographic evidence :gyro :lick :laughing :laughing

Gabor- You have always been my helicopter hero. I wish I could learn 1/10 of what you have.

Make sure he has pants on... very "off putting" otherwise :bigballs

Go to it.... must have proof (of flying, not that pants are on) :calmdown :laughing :laughing

Pulled 22" with the two of us 70 KTS no effort real powerhouse. Hydraulic controls are awesome. Real helicopters do have throttles!!!! Love the thing. Just smooth as butter. New standard to beat! :first :first :first

I had to catch up on the Honey do list.... :( kept waiting to see if Gabor would fly over, but sadly no Bell 47 in sight, did have a cool coast guard helicopter fly over.
we have been so busy still unpacking and stuff. today I had to go around and work on all the windows and vert. blinds in the house, then assembled a crappy kitchen cabinet from lowes. would not have minded it half as much if the damn things doors were not warped, may have to send it back. now taking a break from peeling off old wall paper in the kitchen.

I am sure Gabor will probably fly the 47 back to KDED another day when I can be there.

who ever did that rebuild did one hell of a nice job.
looking forward to seeing it up close and personal some time. did anyone get any rides in it?

Thanks for the pics and the video! That machine is immaculate. The smoothest I have ever flown. No kidding guys. For the hell of it I had gone down to 400 feet and popped the collective for a moment and in an instant we were back at 500. There is just so much inertia in those blades that we small heli guys just don't have experience with and it is truly amazing to discover. I had a great flight today. We flew a little over an hour and I had enjoyed every second of it. Arnie you were right. I am hooked on this baby. Good thing I'll have a lot of chances to fly it!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYY

There is just nothing like a Bell-47, I love the whine the transmission makes and the whistle of the blades at low pitch.

Btw Gabor, what type tail rotors are those on it? never seen any with a taper back like that. are they 206 blades?
