There would not, by any chance, be a video of that anywhere???

I did not know a gyro was capable of that... given a wind driven rotor...

Does anyone have the time to explain how that works... a wind driven & fixed pitch rotor in auto-rotation--going inverted... Hmmm...

A gyro is capable of anything as long as the rotor is always positively loaded..... any less than about .5 of a G loading and severe 'issues' will follow :badluck It is like when the car stunt dudes do the loop in cars or bikes, if the speed drops near the top of the loop, they fall down.... in a gyro, 'down' is just a heck of a lot further :eek :realcrazy

Well done, pilot obviously has 'big kahunas' :bigballs :half

I had a very interesting discussion when Trenna from Sportcopter took her valuable time to personally call me 3 times last week regarding my creased Sportcopter blade....
that happened 8 years ago! Even Jim got in on the conversation. I have had the utmost respect for Jim and his Sportcopter company, and I even have more respect after a series of those 3 phone calls last week.

That guy is of high integrity in my personal experience with him!

You praise the wrong man. Remember who built your blades? Your warm and fuzzy phone call means jack compared to my 13 waking years with the man. Integrity? Just ask me.

realize what you are saying stan. Love ya :)

The guy who does the work has the story right. ALWAYS! I know it from experience. I always talk to the mechanic when I wanna know and not the owner of the franchise!

Jon- And I respected the beautiful blades you were responsible in making. I just can't imagine doing loops and rolls like Jim does.

The dazzle wore off of me a long time ago Stan. You can do loops, I can do loops. Why does he?

Hope you have a good weekend Stan!

I know a good pilot could loop my Helicyvle or my gyros, but my confidence level trusting my flying skills doing those is so minimal , I would probably fall out of the loop. Never was interested in doing any loops in anything, or even spin an airplane.
