Thankfully... he will walk away...

Hope this is expensive enough to convince him to get some instruction... :)

Yeah.....he didn't mind to spend money on the camera attached to the right side of the gyro. Just making sure we all can enjoy seeing his suicide!

That was one EXPENSIVE bird to wreck! How do folks get into the pilot's seat without adequate training or at least an instructor to keep them out of trouble?

I realize this comment may be whiney... however why is it folks with a video camera in their hands cannot keep it pointed at the subject?

Dumb-asses there is one born every minute.........
People have no concept how to film or take pictures...first thing they do is look with their own eyes instead of through the camera, they forget that the feild of view is not tha same as the human eye.....
Obviouly some people have no concept of getting training either...
How hard could it be? what could possibly go wrong?

I don't know about you but when I'm that close to a helicopter that is shedding parts that can cut my head off....well screw a camera.
I heard kids. I would be between them and the developing wreckage. Ask animal where he wound up after a helicopter crashed at Aiken. He was taking video of it. I haven't seen it but I bet the lens drifted away for that little time it took him to dive under a camper.

THAT is one lucky pilot there... I was waiting for the movie style of exploding aircraft.

I suspect what happened was the blade made two wires contact... and the discharge of elec power melted the wires.

Yeah, the blade had a mark on it... however: If the blade had done all the damage (as in physically slicing the wire as well as causing an elec short... it probably would have severed the blade...
At that point on the blade, well rotor balance would be compromised at a serious enough level... a crash would be imminent.

Lucky folks!!!

Now they just need to put that grass fire out.

Worked for me... I just did the latest FireFox update and the latest Java update also... WinXP pro.

Sad... the dude seems to not know much about flying.
*He seemed to be chasing the aircraft with the controls....
*And the stick was WAAAY too high. Just trying to hold that without resting your arm on your lap... the jerking of thee aircraft will cause over controlling.

Sad... guy cost himself as much $$$ as flight training.
