Never happens to me I use firefox with ad blocker and never get popups anywhere. I use FireFox too. Which ad blocker? I have popups turned off and some still sneak through. Adblock plus 2.6.4

I even have a few old ones, what size storage does it have and is it an IDE uses the wide flat cable or Sata that uses the small cables? you can send it to 4933 randleman rd. Greensboro n.c. 27406 , this is my mom's address where we are staying now until we get moved. and I will be glad to see if I can recover your data for ya. I have used the power data recovery program on a bunch of hard drives before. and it is scary just what the program can recover. it recovers deleted stuff, formated drives and repartitioned drives. it was an $80.00 program back when I bought it. and yep it was well worth it. let me know if ya want to do it.

I will look around I may even have another 80 gig hard drive laying around.

Hillberg wrote: SAVE THE PORN !!!! kidding, , , System error- No Porn found..... but I found everything else. the hard drive is fine. just the windows operating systems is bad. I did a virus scan with my computer and it found 19 viruses. I have a few options we can do. I have everything backed up on my 1 tb drive. what I would suggest is 1 : get a second drive to install Linux on then use this drive a storage drive. the hard drive is a Sata type drive, so it is the new style. 2: I could repartition the drive to have both a windows fat 32 partition and copy your files to it and then make a second partition a linux Partition and I can install Linux on it. the only thing about that Idea, is I don't know how it will boot up when you install the drive in your computer. or 3: is you send me your Tower case, I could install the drive back in it and install the linux for you. then you never have to worry about a virus again. I don't have windows to install, plus even if I did unless I have your system here to install it in. it would not boot up. so the good news is all your data is still on the drive. Viruses are removed. or option 4: I can send you the drive back as it is and you can get Windows reinstalled. just make sure who ever installs it makes a new partition so as to not wipe the drive. Note I will still send you a copy of Linux, but unless you know what you are doing you can wipe the drive clean doing the install. let me know how you want to go with this.

Install the abine blocker and you can block the nsa from keepin tabs on what you look at. ;) The only tracker at skywolverines is a harmless stat counter.

I bet you could have a nice side business doing it. thats what I am working towards, I am getting better each day, I have tried to do a Computer business on the side last year and did get a few customers, Hope when we get to Florida I can expand and do more. I am no expert like Jon carlton by any means, but I am learning more each day. Jon is the linux master. it was nice to see that Linux opened the Drive right up as soon as I pluged it in. Windows 7 on the other hand, wanted permission to access the drive and never did just open it like it should. I have my computer set up to run windows or Linux, needless to say I am ruined to multi desk tops on Linux and that it just works.
