I noticed Abid is taking his exquisite gyro to Osh Kosh. I mentioned to him I am on the way and if he stops at 1C1....Paxton Il. airport, I will buy him dinner and give him a tour of the stairshop.

It gets much better....Greg Spicola.....one of my heroes....is coming along.

This will be so cool to con these two into working hard labor in my stairshop.

The more I get to talk to Abid the more I like him. He comes across much better in person then on the forum.

hahahha Stan....hard labor.....work em over for me. give them a hammer and put
my name on it!!!! :rofl

Gabor, wait til you really get to know him.......hehehe

Greg is the single most reason I know how to fly a Gyro. Plus he's a fellow Marine!!!

Abid...well he is actually the first person I met at the airport cuz he was the only guy

I could find to talk to at the time. He is a really nice guy and was helpful in tracking down

Gary Kenslow and Roy who had the first flying Hornet and a tandom EA81 Dominator.

Those early days were the beginning of my gyro adventure!!!

Thanks Guys for the help!!! :half :half

Arnie- The sod strip has been producing corn and soybeans for years. Dad sold the Cherokee 180 as I wasn't interested in flying it. It was only rotorcraft for me.

I would not advise them trying to take off out of my chopper channel, though it would be fine for a smaller gyro that can take off in a few hundred feet.

Gordon- What do you mean "probably" ? That's all that's on the menu! Occasionally there is another side of two of choices. By " side"...
I am meaning side of the road kill. Run down raccoon...plowed over possum....clobbered coyote....or decaying deer.

You all come hungry!

I WAS wondering IF a gyro could ever LAND /TO in your chopper channel ..... ????? As you say a STOL single ...with experienced pilot ... not for the Eurogyros!

I would like to meet abid in person. The times he has messaged me he has sounded like a sane person. Very sensible. In fact, he guessed correctly about my situation with SC.

John- There will be plenty of pictures ....even some air to air shots from my chopper.

However, squirrel season isn't until the next month.

Just going to have to feed them some Filet-O-COW from the local restaurant.
