Here is a short video of the man that exposed me to flying years ago in a Cessna 140, then a Cessna 175 Skylark, then his Cherokee 180. I flew the last two...but teethed on the Cessna 140. My dad and I are very independent types, but I did not share the love of farming that he has. I severely disappointed my dad when I left the silver spoon operation of taking over his farming operation....and followed my passion building curved stairways. He I know was ashamed of me for about 5 years, then soon realized that I am doing what I love the same as he......and doing it totally on my own the same as he. He knew I would never come crawling back had my stair business failed.....as I had a taste of making a living on my own and not just inheriting a living. Now as I fly by him, he looks proud standing 6 foot tall on top of the ground. Proud of my dad........here is hovering next to you dad! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOwYOZV ... e=youtu.be |

Stan, you are very fortunate to have your Dad around at 93... Mine 'went home' at 87 in the summer of 2012. Enjoy him while he is here! |

Very lucky Stan. Mine went home at 62. He was at the Battle of the Bulge in WWII, one of the bloodiest in the history of WWII. It was also the coldest winter over there in 100 years, and the US troups were not prepaired for it. It took a toll on him, he suffered physically and emotionally untll he went home. I miss him. |
