I was browsing on Barnstormers the other day and just happened to notice quite a few rotorway exec helicopters for sale, and cheap! $35-60k
Is there something wrong with them? just wondering how you can get a used 2 seat helicopter cheaper than a used 2 seat gyro...
Not that I am looking for a helicopter, But if I was going to drop serious coin on a 2 seat rotorcraft I would want something I might be able to insure..

They are not really so to speak work horses. You don't see them flying around that much right?
There is a good reason for that. Not exactly a reliable engine in them. Very marginal.
Not too many have taken on the task to make it right. There are a few fanatics but by time they upgrade to airworthy levels it's a shit load of money. Ask Don. I am sure it took him some time to put that turbine in there :)
Other than that I saw one for 12 K it had everything. I almost bought it :)

A simple thank you would have been enough for the morning coffee without all that "how did you get in here" nonsense.

Lots of work, I can put a turbine in one for $35 grand, :dance But owners add puff & Bling Bling ( $$$$) & you can put in $100,000 in a kit :realcrazy , But a flying nonwrecked Rotorway for $30 -$60 grand isn't bad, :calmdown Remove the belts & put a real engine, gear box etc & you'll have a real helicopter, If you keep the origanal stuff see about 100 to 150 hrs between maintenance. :head

:bunny It flys nice, but used issues will raise its ugly head.
