Yesterday was the first day in 173 days that the temps were above 70 degrees. I couldn't stand another day....so I went to my stairshop early....got a lot done, then played hooky. I changed the oil in my TR gearbox, dropped my hinged belly pan and inspected my cyclic mixer, cleaned my gascolator screen.....which had absolutely nothing in it thanks again to my biobor treatment. I have special sump drains in my two main fuel tanks that I drained and inspected.

Next off came the sidepanels for inspecting everything I could. My side panels....swashplate fairing and belly pan all can come off and be put back on in minutes.

It just felt good going over this machine that so far has given me by far the least maintenance time on anything I have owned and flown.

This weekend it is going to be absolutely beautiful out.....but we are blessed having two of our grandkids over to play at mama and choppapapas house. No flying and I wouldn't have it any other way. Grandkids are so precious.

Good to hear your winter has ended .... we had about 4 days above freezing .... I even had patches of lawn showing through ... but now it is -6*C and snowing again ... sheesh .... but spring is just around the corner.

Turns out to be the most brutal winter since 1898 .... even the snow buntings (our small winter birds) went south to USA for the winter .... they are back now , about 200 in my yard .... they head to the arctic to breed in the summer.

If it wasn't for the birds at this airport there would be nothing else flying !!!!!! HHAAAAAAAAA !!!!

Even the helicopters stayed indoors this winter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
