I made my first flight since being in the hospital. I am now flying with much less threat of bleeding to death should I have even a minor mishap. I am flying more at peace and so is Barbara.

Had I not been told I tested negative for having the Factor V mutation.....my Helicycle was going up for sale for certain.

I forgot my GoPro camera and these are from my cellphone. My best flying down low and hovering cant be captured. I need my remote switch on my cyclic triggering my GoPro for those shots.

Congratulations Stan!! I am so happy for you!

In addition to getting off of a dangerous drug, the reduction in stress will also significantly improve your overall health since stress is the biggest factor in dis-ease.

Well that is sure good news Stan ... to find out you did not even have the medical problem must be a relief .... come to think of it you did a lot of cool stuff when they had you on rat poison so I cant imagine what all you will do now you are off it !!!!! :)

Your camera actually took some good pictures out of the helicopter .... is that a big farm yard or is it a fertilizer dealer ? Nice setup !!

Arnie- The camera is my cellphone. They keep getting better.

That is a farmers operation, Rollie T Sebring. He has a HUGE operation, and you would not believe the John Deere equipment he has. He stops by little ol me's operation and is intrigued by my stairways. I appreciate him taking time out of his busy life to stop by. I also land at his place and return the visits.

Gabor- There is no lasting effects from coumadin....I can't believe I am off of it.

I cant even see a trace of snow in your pictures. We are just getting out of our deep freeze here .... but all the fields are still covered with 2 feet of snow. The 8 foot snowbanks in my yard have shrunk down to 6 feet :)

It will be another month before farmers are on the land putting crops in.

I am still mostly house bound but will try to take some more pictures in a day or two.

Today was able to open my back door for the first time in months .... look at the snow piled up there .... yikes.

Big farm all right !!!!

I was friends with a local guy named Henry who has a 2000 acre potato farm here in Manitoba .... that is considered "big" around here and he was pretty proud of it .... until ......

He attended a huge auction sale of potato equipment and a King Air plane landed ... it was from R.D.O Farms in the USA .... and they grow 50,000 acres of potatoes !!!!! YIKES !!!!

R.D.O has gotta' be the WOLVERINE of potato farmers :)

Arnie- Rollie has always wanted me to take him for a flight over his farms in an R22. He would pay. He owns the farm with the irrigation rig just across from our home.

I still consider snow a four letter word.
I am quite happy without it.

..
Compared to Illinois ......

Here is what the fields look like today in Manitoba ... we just had our coldest winter since 1898

It will all melt pretty fast and the farmers will be on the land in about 2-3 weeks

It went up to +33*f and I was sweating when I stepped out of the car to taking the picture :)
