I was involved in the project to repair the prototype and put a turbine power plant in it. FAA wouldn't certify it for issues in the flight control system and fuel system. The changes were the following. . . Fuel bladder in floor (crash worthy) Flight controls to a standard design (no borden cables) Seats hung from roof (crash worthy) Gas turbine power (saved 600+ lbs of extra weight & more cabin volume) |

Actually is pretty cool, too bad turbines are so expensive....they make really cool lightweight powerplants. |
